Importance of Mental Health Awareness

“What mental health needs is more sunlight, more candor, and more unashamed conversation.”

— Glenn Close.

Our usual mental health is as vital as our bodily health. While we attempt to keep our our bodies, outfit and custom clothing, it is also important to preserve our minds suit and strong too. Most of us, though, have no idea how to keep our mental health in tiptop shape and how to support those who have mental health concerns.

Nearly half of the young generation worldwide is experiencing problems of mental health. Most of them have different forms of depression and anxiety due to peer pressure, family concerns, and poor self-esteem. Those who visit this resort often commit to many dangerous activities that could lead to severe complications. It’s sad to know, though, that others dismiss this issue as a flat drama or just lazy to get on with their lives.

Ending the Stigma NOW

While it is difficult to take on those who do not support the mental health awareness campaign, it is also important to appreciate those who work towards educating us about the importance of keeping our minds safe and giving the right communication and care to those who find it difficult to deal with their anxieties.Many are also unaware of the therapies that a mentally ill person can use to slowly deal with what they are now experiencing.

Mental illnesses can also be treated and cured like physical illnesses. The healing movement takes time, however, and everyone should be more understanding to give the patient time to recover from their mental illness. All it takes is to offer enough patience and more embraces or physical contact to convince him or her that the dark side alone is not fighting.

The Stigmas of Mental Health

The stigma for mental health issues comes from people who don’t really understand what’s happening to someone who’s mentally ill or defective. While those with anxiety are being ignored as depressed and need only a push to move on, many do not really seem to care for those who are nervous and losing self-awareness. Even those who died as a result of suicide are tagged as cowardly or immature people.
